Welcome to Powerhouse Pilates

We want you to feel welcome at our studio so we’ve created a space where you can relax, reveal your challenges, rejuvenate and focus. It’s light­hearted and fun. And you don’t have to be fit to come here. You come here to get fit! Come as you are. We call our exquisite home­based studio the Zen studio because that’s what it feels like. Zen. Serene. Clean. Calm. But that doesn’t mean that you won’t be reaching for your edge and shedding more than a couple beads of sweat. You will. This space is designed for movement.

I have always been fascinated with movement. It’s my greatest passion and such a big part of who I am. I have or continue to be a dancer, yogi, runner, rock climber, skier, hiker, mountaineer, pilates enthusiast and teacher. Pilates is the most intelligent form of exercise I’ve ever come across. I absolutely love the way it makes me feel and I practice it every single day. I want to share my passion with others, so that they can find their strength and accomplish whatever it may be that they’re striving for.

At the heart of almost all of my workouts is CORE work. I layer strength and mobility work from there.  The result?  A feeling of being strong from the inside out and a powerful torso.

You can’t choose where you lose fat on your body, BUT good core function has the capacity to give you a much slimmer looking midsection.  A distended belly can be an indication of a core (inner core unit) that does not manage pressure well. Join me on the mat. 🙂
